Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Adobe Commerce (Magento) Developer, who has in-depth knowledge of Magento (1.x & 2.x), to join our dynamic eCommerce team. As an Adobe Commerce Developer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and maintenance of our eCommerce platform, ensuring its functionality, performance, and user experience meet the highest standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, project managers, and other developers, to deliver innovative and effective eCommerce solutions that drive business growth.


Responsibilities & Duties

  • Writing backend code in line with best practices on the Magento 1 and Magento 2 platform
  • Ensuring that code is written to a high-quality standard, self-tested and communicating openly with the project management team to ensure that tasks are well scoped, estimated and delivered
  • Deliver high quality project work and support the evolution of best practice and standards
  • Responsible for presenting your work to the Clients, taking feedback and critique and helping to guide our clients to the best solutions
  • Work on our Clients Magento implemented Sites
  • Providing actionable feedback to other members of the team on quality, best practice and technology.
  • Working within an agile team, contributing to daily stand-ups, sprint planning and estimations.
  • Stay updated with evolving standards and technologies, learning new skills as needed
  • Develop new functionality
  • Implement front-end changes
  • Bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation
  • Build reusable code
  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
  • Assure that all user inputs are validated before submitting to back-end
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
  • Integrate third-party tools (such as for tracking, functional testing, and Ui testing) in front-end interfaces


Desired Skills & Experience

  • At least 1-3 years Magento development experience
  • Experience with Magento 1 and Magento 2
  • Solid understanding of web technologies, usability, and information architecture
  • Understanding of platform and browser compatibility issues
  • Proven experience in developing in Object oriented PHP / ZEND Framework
  • Strong understanding of Object Oriented programming techniques and MVC frameworks
  • Knowledge of cross-browser techniques and challenges Competent with SQL-based database concepts(MySQL) and able to apply Problem solving techniques to design database changes
  • Experience of GIT version control system
  • Experience in JavaScript frameworks like jQuery, knockout JS & RequireJS
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience on Data migration Tool in Magento2
  • Exposure on CMS and Payment Gateways
  • Experience in using third party plugins and resolving compatibility issues
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
  • Customizing Magento 1 or 2 front-end components using layout XML, blocks and templates.
  • Third party Web Service Integration (REST/SOAP) and creating Magento 1 or 2 Web services.
  • Experience with Magento Module Development, Magento Theme Integration, Customization, Extension Development


It's Nice To Have

  • Experience working with other open source platforms such as Akeneo, WordPress, Drupal, Laravel frameworks
  • Demonstrable knowledge of XML, XHTML, CSS, Modules i.e. API integration, XML with a focus on standards
  • Experience in responsive design, mobile development
  • 3 Years of Experience in managing clients E-Commerce website -Experience in code optimization, server level optimization, infrastructure optimization
  • Experience on 3rd party integrations on Payment Extensions and Search
  • Working on LAMP stack environments
  • Knowledge GIT version control using linux commands
